Prof. Dr. Margaret Lewis (Professor of Law, Seton Hall University School of Law) will give a lecture on October 24, 2023 at 6:15 p.m. as part of the lecture series “Freedom – Claim, Design, Empiricism” in the Senate Hall in the Kollegienhaus (KH 1.011), Universitätsstraße 15. The lecture series takes up the manifold tensions, contradictions and paradoxes that attach themselves to the concept of freedom. In lectures, discussions and talks, it contrasts claims to freedom, as well as the design and empiricism of freedom. Topics include: Freedom and Peace, Peasant Liberation in Franconia, Pandemic Freedoms, Freedom and the Right to Vote, the Freedom to Mourn, Freedoms of Age(s), Freedom and Dictatorship, Freedom as a Human Right.
