Dr. Lorenz Wiese is a project staff member at “Flucht- und Flüchtlingsforschung: Vernetzung und Transfer (FFVT)”. Lorenz Wiese received his doctorate on “Refugees welcome? How Germany, Canada, and Australia respond to contemporary migration” in 2019. Prior to that, he completed a Master’s degree in Political and Administrative Sciences with a focus on “International Administration and Conflict Management” at the University of Konstanz (MA thesis on “The effect of regional integration on refugee protection in Europe and Latin America”, 2014) and the Universidade Estadual da Paraíba in João Pessoa, Brazil, and his Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a focus on applied economics – also at the University of Konstanz, as well as at the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Guadalajara, Mexico. Beyond that, he was a board member of the non-profit association Café Mondial Konstanz e.V. from 2015 to 2020.
